Cisterna Coffee Company

About Us

Cisterna Coffee Co. was founded on the guiding principle that the answer to poverty isn’t charity; but rather business.

By choosing to invest in small coffee producing communities through direct trade coffee sourcing, Cisterna aims to maximize its impact for community growth and development around the world.

For us, it’s about more than a great cup of coffee. It’s about fulfilling the Great Commission and helping others. And to that end, Cisterna is committed to investing in humanitarian mission projects aimed at providing clean water, agricultural education and the eradication of child exploitation around the globe.

We remain committed to deepening positive community impact through making disciples, direct trade sourcing and community project investment, one great cup of coffee at a time.

MEET THE FOUNDER

Mat Luce

For as long as he can remember, Mat has had a passion for international missions. While serving on a community development project in southern Kenya for a year, Mat realized that this passion was a life calling, one that has now come full circle with the foundation of Beehive Global Collective.

When not in the office or abroad, Mat enjoys fishing, particularly hunting for the ever elusive redfish off the coast of Florida, reading and writing. Mat and his wife Iris have one child, Vera Ruth, who is the light of their lives. Most afternoons both Mat and Iris can be found playing in the yard with Vera Ruth, hunting for frogs and flowers, or taking long walks together.
